Account deletion

Request deletion of your Nakshatra account.

This page explains the staged process for requesting account and data deletion in the app or through support when app access is unavailable.

How to request deletion

Signed-in users can start in the Nakshatra app: open Profile, then Legal & account, then Delete Account. The app asks you to type DELETE, acknowledge retention exceptions, acknowledge the separate subscription-cancellation warning, and then creates a deletion request with a reference code and status.

If you cannot access the app, email support@nakshatra-app.com with the subject line Nakshatra Account Deletion Request so support can help verify the account and start or locate the request.

Information to include

  • The email address used for your Nakshatra account.
  • Your deletion reference code, if the app already created one.
  • Your platform: iOS, Android, or both.
  • Whether you also want data export help before deletion.
  • Any active subscription status you want support to consider while helping you.

Export before deletion

If you want a copy of your Nakshatra account data before deletion, request export help before the deletion request is processed. Export is support-routed; automated export downloads are not currently available. Some provider-held records, payment records, security logs, backups, or records outside Nakshatra's direct product database may not be included in a support export.

What deletion is expected to cover

After verifying the request, Nakshatra is expected to delete or de-identify account and profile data that is no longer needed to provide the service. The request workflow records and tracks the request first, then support review handles deletion processing. This may include account records, birth profile details, birthplace/timezone/location records, Kundali and chart data, Ask conversations, saved insights, reports, remedies/check-ins, goals, journal entries, bonds, notification preferences, and related app records where deletion is technically and legally available.

Deleted content may not be recoverable after processing begins or completes. Do not submit a deletion request unless you are ready for account and saved-content access to be removed where deletion is completed.

Subscription note

Deleting a Nakshatra account may not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately through the Apple or Google account used for purchase. Store billing, renewal, refunds, taxes, and payment methods are handled by the app stores, not by the in-app deletion request.

Processing time

Processing starts after account verification. Timing may vary based on account status, subscription records, processor limitations, backup systems, support volume, and legal or security review needs. The app shows the current status and reference code when a request is created in the app.

Retention exceptions

Some data may be retained when required for payment evidence, fraud or security prevention, support, audit, legal, accounting, dispute, backup, compliance, or processor/store limitations. Store-managed purchase records may also remain with Apple, Google, or RevenueCat according to their systems and policies.
